Thuya Westernalis, our "cedar" of Canada, is thus wrongly called because of its resemblance to the "Cedar of Lebanon" (Cedrus Atlantica) or the "West Red Cedar" (Thuya Plicata) whose bark are similar, but which are much larger in size and diameter. The thuya, also called "tree of life", is a powerful sanitizing and repellent against undesirable organisms: mites, lice and chips. Very easy to use pure or diluted in essential oils or hydrosol, it even cleanses the terrain with mushrooms, bacteria and viruses. Several indigenous tribes called him the tree of life and used it as incense to keep the entities, unwanted and/or obsessive souvenirs to ward off, never ingest the essential oil of the thuya or disseminate it because it contains thujone potentially epileptic.
